Interesting, I didn't know or had forgotten you had a Dry Gulch in Tan Bark. I remember the macromei hatband but I apparently didn't take any pics of mine as creased when it arrived but here it is now.

That looks great with the beaded band, Jack. Great bash, too. Mine has been laying around unworn and missing the band for quite awhile. I had either removed the band or it came without one, I can't remember which. I think I've toyed with the idea of converting this one to a very tall crowned fedora, but tonight I just threw the horsehair band onto it and gave it a wearing.

Kevin O’Farrell with a rain drip or two.

Tanbark will bleed with steam or when wet. At least mine did.

New to me Royal Stetson. I picked this up on eBay about a month ago, and have worked to address the staining on this well-worn, light colored hat. Thanks to a vinegar solution and a toothbrush, much of the staining has been mitigated. It's had a naphtha bath, but I'm still working on trying to get so5 ribbon stains out.

The pleated ribbon is a nice touch, and the felt is excellent. Soft and very malleable.

Cool brim stitching, too.

That’s one cool hat, Fruno! The two tone ribbon is sweet.
Definitely a keeper.

WISKO "Rossach Kosmos 1" possibly late 1930s early 1940s. I am fairly certain WISKO was Wilhelm Ispert Köln. They were a whole seller / importer that are still in business today but not with hats. My guess (based on paper labels) is they were the distributor of many of these mystery WWII era German Wool hats but not sure who was their source (or sources). Unfortunately my sweat caused problems with the liner and sweatband logos. This oxidation issues is common with similar lower price point German (also from Czechoslovakia) made hats from this time period. I am guessing the gold dyes were copper based. Does that make sense?

Today....a good sunny day to capture the sparkle of this long haired Angora Borsalino. Tall crown, 2 1/2” brim with an elegant self edge.
A Gorasgu in a rich Agata color.
This one hits several sweet spots.
Be well. Bowen
Sweet indeed Bowen!

What he said! Wow! A black Playboy! Very nice!
Thanks Randy. Love the VS.

I missed yesterday so I'll have to double-up today. Yesterday's pick, a nice mid-gray Dobbs. This color just seems to go with everything.

Today, one I received late in the spring season, a VS new Black Cherry and Burgundy. With the weather cooling down, I can't wait to put some head time on this one!

Two great hats, Randy. The Dobbs is a classic and that VS is so cool.
