What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Dobbs and Knox used to do it on their fedoras, and Stetson to a lesser extent. I first really noticed it, though, on Gannon hats commissioned by @moontheloon and @Frunobulax. It quickly became a favorite bow treatment of mine and now sits astride 2 customs... this natural Gannon and my custom natural from Black Sheep Hat Works.
I think I have an Adam with the same bow treatment and some Englsih manufacturers used it as well. Looks easy enough until I tried to make one myself.

When Michael made my custom and i asked for that twisted bow keep he said he'd try but couldn't guarantee that it would look prefect. He said it was hard to get it right.

I decided my Akubra should heed the call.

Very autumnal today, so it was time again to break out the 1930s Samuel Mortlock & Son Lord's hat.
Luckily, an Indian summer is forecast for the weekend.

That is a very fine lords hat - I love the thin ribbon on it, gives it a very sporty look! Looks great on you.
