I've tried ball caps, but the kid has too much class for that. He'll only wear fur felt or 3x beaver!!!
I'm thinking of that Tombstone scene when Holiday decides what he thinks of Ringo.
"Kate! He reminds me of me. I think I'll hate him."

Jest, of course!
Maybe we should introduce him to my granddaughter ...
the hat heir.

Greetings All:
Today....the basically unheard of, unheralded, maybe unimpressive to the eye Linpark Styles Bristol Deluxe.
Upon closer inspection the unique appointments surprise. The sweatband quality and it’s attachment and the unique under-welt stitching that presents as almost a felted edge.
I have very very few hats that you can bend the brim or crease with one finger and it stays. One such is my very old Boss Raw Edge. Maybe it’s just tired like me. Lol
Be well. Bowen

Jeff @bowlerman I just heard about the tornado. Hoping you & your kids came thru it all safely & without property damage. If you need anything at all, let me know!

Thank you! We are all fine and other than a lot of uprooted trees in the neighborhood, no property damage to speak of, thankfully. A few businesses weren’t so lucky, but as far as I understand still no major injuries.

Scary though! Three to touch down in the same night. The sound was pretty intense, even from 2 miles away.

Thanks for the thoughts!

My very first fedora, from NATE’S, purchased new (Old Stock) in 1972. A circa 1950 Lee private label. It’s still in the rotation!

What’s he think of this?! Sorry, Nate, it’s a 7-3/4 XLO. I will be on the lookout for a smaller one now, though...

He thinks that's awesome. Never heard of Nate's Inc fedoras before. We will start our hunt today for one. Checked ebay and nothing. Googled it and couldn't find anything. Hunt will go on!

Nate’s was Vermont largest men’s store in the 1940s through the 1980s, I believe. Our best hope may be within their area of operation. I still go there frequently and will stay vigilant!

Please let me know if you run across one. That's a nice looking hat. Nate says hello to the hat heir, too.

Tell Nate I'm ON it. I've only seen one other hat from that store in the last ten years, but I'll widen my parameters for Nate.

At his 100th birthday celebration a few years ago, here is Nate (his brother/business partner, Ben, actually) checking out the hat he sold me. He remembered!!!
