Have fun, it's Saturday,
Michael
That is a great looking velour, Michael. Love the green ribbon and binding. Back bows get me every time. They're like my kryptonite. Like Superman, I go weak at the knees [emoji4]

I'm not sure what you mean about this, but i think you mean the hat (brim) size?
Pellie, it's an English theatrical term. The lead actor would always be down stage, close to the audience. The support actors would be further upstage. The lead is supposed to shine, while the supports are meant just to support. Sometimes though, they outshine the lead from upstage.

H&R was just being a gentleman by saying your wife outdid you hat wearing wise.

It's the same with my daughters. They laugh and tease me because of my hat fetish, but as soon as they put one of them on, they look so much better [emoji4]

Hope that helps [emoji4]

Aaah thanks man. I understand. My wife is the only one who may upstage me, that's why i was wearing a stingy brim.... :D

Not to disagree, Michael, but YOU are COOL every morning. Just saying...
Thanks Charlie. I see you were already exhibiting some very good hat taste when you got your first one. And still are.

Leprechauns might trade you their pot of gold for that big ribbon, back bow, beauty.

Thanks Hat. I'd probably take that trade unless i had to take delivery at the end of the rainbow.

Thanks Steve. That green on black really works for me, too. I think I might be up to 3 back bows now.

What were you wearing before that, if I may be so bold?

THIS Big Apple hat, as it was labeled when I bought it (new, from a mail order catalogue!) as a high school freshman in 1969-70.

It’s a little dusty, but at least I knew exactly where it was.

Follow on story, this hat was once stolen from my parents’ house while I was away at college in Boston. I lived in a small town in Vermont. Months later, I saw it being worn in a local bar, and immediately approached and removed it. In such a small town, I knew it was my hat. I also even knew the offender, a friend of my brother’s. I was in my physical prime, and MUCH bigger than he. No fight, just hat.
