Today.....kinda in a funk head way today. Prob because i’ve let this one languish for 2 or 3 years thinking i’ll send it out to be refreshed. Time’s running out so i’ll make the call.
This ain’t no pretty boy hat. I can only wonder what kinda work the owner did wearing this old toothpick ribbon, dime thick Stetson One Hundred i got from @Dinerman. Probably a Montana rancher i’d guess. After all it’s glory it still shuts up my 7X CB pretty boys.

TAR Thursday (Friday for me, as I'm taking tomorrow). The color on this hat is superb. A rich hue and well-saturated. Just a great hat. Plus I dig this version of the logo.

1940s - I think - J.C. Penney's Marathon in blue.

I'm going to need a long weekend to recover from seeing this hat.

Thanks Bowen. Bought new in 1988 or 1989. 10X Rancher but I changed it up a couple yrs ago. Probably will change it again this fall. The binding used to match the 3-cord but it has faded some or photographs different now.
