Nobody will ever rain on your hat parade, Stefan. Love the pug on your Huber's. Wonderful shot of you wearing it, too. Film star look, my friend.
The ribbon on the Borsalino Palladio is quite unique, and the Barbisio Lobbia is really rather nice.
Those Penumbra hats are ones to watch. Definitely worth investing in one now in my opinion.

All I understood was "wheels" [emoji4]

I think he might mean there are eight screws per wheel, and each screw needs 75 pounds of pressure to unscrew. That would explain the "my mands hurt" part.

Thanks, Max. This is the first time in my life I’ve felt like I was the mechanically savvy guy in the room: huge ego boost! ;)

Two new hats today so despite the 102 degree weather I wore them both (for two minutes each :) )

Charlie, for a few years before I ended up on my chosen career path I sold welding supplies and one of my customers was a polyester cloth producing plant. I also serviced a number of sewage treatment plants during that time. I much preferred the latter. I think of that plant every time I see a "Leisure" suit.

Which plant?

Which plant?

Now you challenge me, Charlie. Cannot remember the exact name of the plant but think it was part of the Cannon Mills group that was scooped up by Fieldcrest in the early 80's.

There was a fair textiles industry in that area for quite a few years. It ranged from just outside Scottsboro where Goodyear had a fabric mill to a sock factory near downtown. A number of carpet makers ranged N toward the TN line ending about South Pittsburgh where Lodge Mfg. resides.

Looking good Michael. Love the Marathon. That hat looks perfect.
Thanks Scott. This one is in near perfect condition. And I like the color a lot, for a grey hat that is. Ha ha.

OUTSTANDING, as always, Michael!!

But were there matching pants? Bring back the LEASURE SUIT!!! (Just stay away from open flames, as the polyester will melt...)

Thanks Charlie. It's surprisingly difficult to turn up a full leisure suit. Even the top part is a relatively unusual thing to find. Around here at least. Personally I'm a big fan of the jacket designs, but they were brought low by the poly they used for them. They seem to me to be about 50% army tunic and 50% safari jacket in parentage with a big collar thrown on.

The whole outfit is just spot on, Michael.
Thanks Stefan. That's my made to measure suede jacket from 1979. Unfortunately it was made to someone else's measure, but we must be a pretty near thing.

Last few days.

All great looks. Love the wide pug on the Huber. And the palladio does shine in the sun.

Thanks all,
Michael

My green Stetson 'conservation' hat arrived yesterday so I decided to take it out for a spin. I don't think it's very vintage but it was originally purchased from an estate sale and appears unworn. I have a modern stetson cavalry hat that's essentially the same but the felt is much softer and more malleable on this one and it's green!
