I like how the patterns are complimentary. Nice cap Fabio.

Supposed to be rather summery here today. So a boater gets the call.

Have a great Friday,

You are an inspiration, I'll be digging out my straws today for the season. I have been missing the hat parade, getting myself back into the fold.

I’m not a big fan of polystraw, but I do like the looks of the Akubra Capricorn.

I like the pattern of that weave in the crown. Cool looking ribbon treatment/matching binding.

Well, I heard back from my doctor about my MRI. Back is hamburger. He used a lot of big words about my discs in my lower back, but all I remember is "moderate to severe". We are going to try injections of cortisone (no fun I'm sure) as opposed to surgery. I have been totally worthless since February, constant pain, no sleep. It has been hard to function on just a couple hours of sleep every night for 4 months.

Going out today in the sunshine to pick up some prescriptions. My easiest straw to get my hands on was my Cappas Bogart. It will be nice around here for a week or so. Better get my winter hats into storage and break out the straw collection.

Went to see Mike Miller yesterday, I have some photography to do. And, I'm looking forward to my newest commission of a really special straw! (more on that later) I have been out of the loop tooooooo long!

Dog soiree in a vtg. Stetson with a spiral brim treatment this morning.

I changed to a vtg.Stetson Bantam in order to do yard work. Moving fallen limbs resulted in a changed brim swoop and the wind cord ajar. Today's hats are examples of hats doing what they were intended to do.

At least I have been able to appreciate your hats on Facebook of late. It sure has done my heart good to see your fine hats and dream, dream, dream. That Bantam is a workhorse, I'm sure it will be pristine again post haste.

Nice to have you back in the loop again, Mike. Hope the cortisone does some magic.
Love the ribbon on your straw. So cool.
