Thanks Steve. That Stetson straw you were showing is pretty cool. I don't think I've seen one like that before.

Still a few raindrops coming down, and a bit of an altered backdrop today. Hanover Square

The greenery is part of a tree that broke off last night and is now partially lodged against my wall. Going to be a pain to clean up.

Have a good day,
Michael
Thanks, Michael. It's a very modern licensed in Germany Stetson Raffia bought 3 years ago new.
Your Hanover Square is a beauty as is the backdrop. Sorry to hear it's going to be a strain to clear up.

Thank you it is light but doesn't always photograph that way. It's silverbelly, which the longer I'm around hats within that color range, the more confusing it can become. I've posted a few pics of that 7X CB alongside a 50's 7X CB and a Stetson 100 that comes from the same era as the first 7.

What a triumphant trio. Like people from the same family, there's a connection, there's a likeness and similarity, but when you look at the details everyone is individual.

Two, so far.
First, the straw that gives my face a wonderful geen cast.
Before I left home there were two boxes on the porch. One contained a no name, made in USA homburg that probably looks great from across the street (I'll have to look into that order and compare it to my bourbon receipts). The second was two derbys, auctions in which everyone was afraid to even bid against me.
The. Resistol I decided to wear is nice. I'm surprised how soft the top of the crown is. I haven't creased it, but could.

I'll echo what the other have said: keep it! That's a fine looking hat and there's nothing wrong with having more hats in the same colour (and shape).

Your posts, really brighten this thread up. There's not a Lounger on here that doesn't have a great hat or hat tale to tell. But you always take the time to compliment everyone, so refreshing. Furthermore you put me to shame, your beard has gone in to a mixture of salt & pepper greys. When mine turned silver, I shaved it off, and that was after forty years of facial hair. My vanity was such that I felt that I couldn't look like Santa.
Today I am wearing my new Gamboa straw, but tonight my missus and I are going to a posh frock occasion, so it's the tux and bow tie for me, but I am still debating whether to go hatless or wear my vintage boater. Here's the Gamboa, you've seen it before, but I'm like a kid with a new toy.

Stefan, not one of those hats is the same colour, shape, or style. I know you know that. How do we convince the uninitiated? [emoji4].

With perseverance and patience, but it's something you have to experience for yourself.
Super parade of hats, Stefan, as usual.

Thanks, Steve. I try to give as many hats as possible some head-time.

Thank you for the kind words, GHT! When I first started posting the comments from the members here made me notice things about my hats I had not seen before. That helped me a great deal in learning about hats and finding better ones. Besides: the members who take the time and make an effort to post here to show their wonderful hats, do deserve some compliment for that. And then there are the members who go the extra mile, like your good self, and show us the whole package: hats, suits, cars, food and drink and the joy that goes with that. Hats off to you for that!
