The fact that you miss working speaks volumes about you. I hope your back doesn’t bother you too much and that the right people make the right decisions.
And great hat too!

Thank you buddy! I don't think anyone ever realizes how much they miss something until it's gone.

For the back, I'll take my ibuprofen and Prednisone and I'm okay for a bit. My doctor wanted to set me up for pain management and that was another road I didn't want to go down. I'm not saying it won't be something I wouldn't consider in the future, it's just something I want to avoid for as long as I'm able.

But yeah. I definitely miss my job.

Still keeping with the Down Under. Met the in-laws at I-hop for brunch then hit a green house for a look around. Hat get stolen by my 10 year old. She said she wanted to look all “yee Ha” I think she looks better in it than I do.

Good early morning. Terrific hat parade this week.

This past week: Crazy weather and work week found me not making time to grab or post hat/cap pics. I wore a vintage Stetson Stratoliner in pine.

And what a fine lid it is too. I gave up searching for a vintage Strat. In one advert someone was asking two hundred bucks for the hat, another forty for the strat pin and a further fifty for the hat box, even then it was too small. Esther came to the rescue with a great Strat look-a-like. Yesterday, we were due to go to a classic car meet, the car was on the drive, we were in our finery, all set to go and then the rain came down, biblical. The meet got called off. I put it up in the blazers thread. So, following a phone call, a few of us are going to meet up for lunch in a fine watering hole. The sun has got his hat on and so have I.

I was surprised to open the door this morning and find this inch or so of new snow

I find I have a serious deficiency in green hats. Had to settle for a green ribbon.

It's time to start cooking some corned beef, I guess.

Thanks Charlie. It's been quite awhile since I've had this 60s era green suit out. The Nate's Lee you are wearing today looks like a great hat. How long has it been since you got your first fedora?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day all! Wore a modern Derby to a holiday party last night & will again later today when making some rounds to hoist a few pints & a shot or two to those who came before me.

Not a blackthorn shillelagh but I carried this Victorian gentleman's cane also.

If it had been Halloween or 1877 I could have been Black Bart, the Stagecoach bandit who was identified & captured based on a laundry mark on his handkerchief. I did sort of feel like him.

Thanks, Michael. I picked this hat up as new old stock in the summer of 1972. I had my choice of brown or gray, as I discovered a whole showcase full of boxed hats from the late 1940s to early1950s in the basement. If I knew then...
