I finally finished sewing the brim binding and ribbon and bow work on this Resistol Westerner thin ribbon conversion that I started several months ago. I have more on this hat in the Conversion Corral. To celebrate, I met up with a couple of my Kemosabies at the 'Birch' for a few. I haven't seen these guys since I've been out of work on L.O.A. over some back issues that's going to require some surgery. We used to meet up here every pay day after work to unwind and have a good time. Yup. I miss being at work.

Afterwards, it was home for a good steak!

Great pics, hat and friends TJ. Take care of that back. As one who totes around a little titanium in my neck every day, I can't stress the importance of "who does your surgery." Take care, Bud.

Edit: Meant to add, good call on the Rev.

Thank you, buddy. I've heard that very thing from a few people. My sister is recovering from her third back surgery within the last four years, and from what others told me, they've had nothing but problems after their surgeries. I'm trying to put it off for as long as I can. But, to be realistic, ibuprofen and prednisone is going to carry me along only so far.

The fact that you miss working speaks volumes about you. I hope your back doesn’t bother you too much and that the right people make the right decisions.
And great hat too!

Nice.

Years ago I brought home to my girlfriend a beautiful red beret from Barcelona.

She has not to this day worn it, and it still sits in her closet, I believe. She won’t wear anything just to please another, which is fine I guess.

We have a date tonight. I think now I’ll just have to snag that beret back for myself.

I hope she's happy to share but if not, you won't find a better source for a replacement than our own Daan.

Great pictures and nice work. I think you might have another career in you for the second half.
