Getting warm again here in central Texas, now 78 F. It was 24 F just three mornings ago! Weather, eh?

A little light work in the yard today in my Stetson Medalist. I don't have many good straw hats so this one will get a lot of head time this summer.

Fantastico!
Thanks Daniele. I've been enjoying your hat show. Some real beauties, as always for you.

Thanks Michael. I think "great minds" pretty well covers it. I love the knickers.
I'll go with that. Always nice when it warms up enough to go out in my knickers. Can never remember if they are supposed to be in a bunch or a twist though.

Sunny day and temperatures starting to rise

Stra Barbisio size 60 cm. US 7 1/2

"Nairobi" color and matching pleated ribbon

Hat made in the sixties has one of the most interesting felts among those in my collection for softness and lightness

The edge of the brim is "feltrato" ie without seams or cuts, called in the USA "Cavanagh edge"

Have a nice Friday

Seem to be some nice color undertones in that felt. And you can see the lightness of it in that finished edge.

Friday Barbisio mid 70’s model I believe.

Well I started out with my daily workabout hat, a "Beaver" finish "Beaver Hats" brand 60's homburg.......
20190308_162128.jpg

Then I went home for a phone conference (too noisy at work for those), then left back to work wearing my "Puerto Fino" short brim grey..........
20190308_162106.jpg

Got back to work to find the almost new Stetson "Nostalgia" arrived straight from the Brent hat purge:eek:......SO.......I wore it home!;) It actually had a nice bash Brent had put into it....but me being me......I decided to re-bash it while I was brushing and petting it. THIS is the result........at least as well as it will photograph......my bashes never really photograph well....o_O Will be wearing it out to dinner with the wife tonight! I am obligated after all........she DID see I got another hat after all......
M:)
PS Love the rich brown liner......

Looks good my friend. I haven’t pulled out the straw yet. I tend to hold off for 90 degrees or higher.

Yesterday was the Stetson XXX conversion.

Tonight is my light sage Knox Foxhound.
