Love this hat but still can't figure this out.
I was wondering about that, too.
That's why it was in the outlet store...

I am wearing my NOS Knox One Hundred today. Yes, I know that Alan bought it from someone else, and Lotsahats bought it from Alan, but none of the previous owners really wore it.
This hat is new.
I intend to wear it often. It is my best hat, and I've always thought that if you keep stuff locked away it is practically the same as if you didn't have it at all.

I once read that Jacques Cousteau's crew found some bottles of wine in an underwater shipwreck, hundreds if not thousands of years old, in the Mediterranean.A hat (or anything) as rare as that would be a special occasion item for me. I’m a preservationist, though.
Oops! I looked for the news article on the net, and I misremembered. The wine was bitter! [emoji2]I once read that Jacques Cousteau's crew found some bottles of wine in an underwater shipwreck, hundreds if not thousands of years old, in the Mediterranean.
What did Jacques do? He drank them all.

I'm in southern Texas, about as south as you can get in it, and it's windy and chilly.Hey all!
It's been a long stretch of cold windy rainy and just plain miserable weather here in the 707. I was so happy to see the sun and not hear the howling wind (for about an hour or two) that I had to throw on this entry level Borsalino Panama that I found in a thrift store a couple days ago. 4 bucks well spent. I've been doing my best to avoid buying any more new old hats, but when the fish jump in the boat...
Now, back to trench coat and umbrella for a while longer... brr. Winter can be over any time now.
Have a great day!

Today....thought i ought to do something constructive so i put on this hat. It’s constructed of wannabe beaver ie.. Nutria.
So technically i can check off that to do.
Be well. Bowen
Less taper is a nice improvement, IMO.My Kevin McAndrew refurb today. I gave it a Cattleman and put a 3/8 OR ribbon and bow on it.

Thanks Bill. I've been enjoying your continuing hat parade of fine old hats. And fine new ones, as your Penman yesterday.Very classic looking which means fantastic in my book!

Love your caps Eric and that OR is special.A cap took me to work and back this morning.
This afternoon I wore a vtg.Stetson Open Road for outside chores.
Best, Eric-
Yes. Definitely.Less taper is a nice improvement, IMO.
It started life as a Penman "The Penman" that I picked up here on the lounge, but it was too small for me. I love the hat and someday plan on picking up one in my size from John... maybe with a 2-3/4" brim.... (hehehehe)
I liked the 6 point diamond it came with and didn't change a thing.
Like the hat, but loooove that sweater!! [emoji50][emoji15]Long day and finally home with time that I can share my head gear for this afternoon/evening. Cool and breezy had me wearing a Cordova Cap under a down hood today.
Best, Eric -
