Good morning folks. Terrific hat/cap/beret parade the last few days.

End of last week I flew to Chicago, IL for work. I made time to be able to spend several hours at the Art Institute. Glorious opportunity that I heartily recommend.

I traveled with a couple of caps as my schedule and the windy cold weather dictated.

For our many Forum members who are avid western history buffs I am confident that you too will appreciate the bronze statue called Bronco Buster, by Remington.

Duck Dim Song was on the menu for lunch one of the days.

Arriving home yesterday found me hiking in the snow for some coffee in yet another cap (Monsavais).

Other chores in a Monsavais cap.

This morning I took the dog for a snowshoe walk wearing a vintage Stetson Vita Felt. The model is still unknown to me. The Vita Felt is glorious clay like when you need to put a crease in the open crown hat. The unique ribbon feature, binding, blocking and flange are unlike other hats I have.

Shortly ago I was removing more snow in a Gannon fedora.

Love that brim treatment! Great colors.

Welcome to the Lounge Saabo. Way to make an appearance. Not familiar with a "Walrus", what does the liner look like?

Classic Max. Substantial sweat on that one, I like it!

Sweet OR Roger.

A Panda, interesting. Was this converted from a western style? Love that color.
Thanks, Mike. It was time for it to get some headtime.

Second hat of the day. Gordon Somerset Quality, Genuine Hare's Felt.
One of my favorite hats. I bought this one for its beauty, and to find out if a hat made of hare felt could be as nice as one made of beaver. It is.

It is gorgeous, Max. These old craftsmen could probably turn a pinguin into an incredible hat.

Eric, nice hats and caps and artwork, as well. I was antiquing this past Friday and came across these beauties.

These were the largest ones I'd ever seen outside of a museum. It's common to see the desktop models, but these came up to my mid chest. I'm 6' tall.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

We braved the snow today and went to the somewhat local Red Robin for lunch. I wore my Knox 15 wide brim beauty, Sandra wore her little black pill box hat with the faux fur brim and daughter brought along a little Royal Stetson.

A waitress from an area next to us came over and said, "I'm not your server, but I wanted to say how much I love all your hats!" Nice.

Jawdroppingly beautiful, Doug (and I'm not your waitress either),

Dang, Jim those are something. I'd would have been in trouble when I came home with one of those. I can hear HER now. Too big for the boots and hats room.

@Short Balding Guy, thanks for the Remington pic.
