Optimo Frank Lloyd Wright today. I have been meaning to wear this one for a while.

That’s a nice addition to the Optimo lineup. Considerably unique among the other offerings. I always kind of eyed that one, as well as the John Lee Hooker, which i think similarly stands out.

I got out for my first bike ride of the year yesterday and didn't take a camera along. And wouldn't you know, it turns out there was a eagle convention going on along the river. Must have seen well upwards of 50 of them, including 19 sitting in one tree. Took the camera with today and of course the convention was over. Still a few in evidence though,

Had a nice ride except the one section of my route that wasn't plowed.

Had to take a few breathers on that bit. Did give me a chance to take a couple pictures of my 1952 dated Canadian Army cap.

Always fun to find headgear that is the same age as me.

Man those eagles are incredible. Which one is Don Henley? Hope you’re staying warm in that army cap!

Thanks Jeff. I once dated a woman who claimed that Don Henley showed up in her kitchen one morning all excited and said "I'm going to start a band." I actually worked up a significant sweat under the cap. Who knew that pedaling through 3 or 4" of slushy snow was so much work.

Hat manufactured in an atelier attached to a shop founded in 1872 and closed in 2014
2qsqfwo.jpg

M. Hutter in Merano has signed a series of hats both in Tyrolean style that more commonly called fedora or dress hats
2heg3o2.jpg

This is an example that I bought together with some Borsalino last year
ka6a8n.jpg

Its peculiarity is to have a combination of colors that are common in both Borsalino and Barbisio and the similarities do not stop here
15p5qxl.jpg

The paper label has a written "Nadir" that is typical of Borsalino and the color is "Bigio" (dull grey) with a small notched label
289lrh0.jpg

What to say? Who really built this hat? Difficult to say, however, is of excellent workmanship and the felt, even if opaque :) is of excellent quality

Doing a ribbon swap on my Stagecoach conversion. I'm not finished yet. The ribbon is sewn on but I'm still deciding on a bow choice to do. I've been looking at a few vintage ones that I like. The ribbon is Burgundy at an 1 1/2 against a tall and straight crowned Resistol Silverbelly. I almost hate to call it, 'Silverbelly', since there's so many variations of the color. This one's more of a silvery variation. I'll have more tomorrow when I'm finished...
