Today....instead of picking a jacket to match a hat i went the other way for Grandpa duties this day. Thought i’d run my finger around the inside crown and watch the felt follow. It did. Can’t say enough about fine finger felt!

That's a beauty, Bowen. Dobbs sure did it right back then. I really like that color combination with that ribbon. Looks great with that classic leather jacket too.

That hat is a thing of beauty, the ribbon color and crease are so nice. The jacket is equally impressive, I can almost see how pliable that leather is, and the color is beautiful.

Thank you very much DD. The jacket is a vintage 50s Windward Horse Hide. The tag touts “nylon stitched” and “nylon lined”. I guess nylon was a new thing then. And pliable, that it is.

So...WAR, Borsalino, backbow with a stingy. Interesting the 3 step backbow and 3 stitch over-welt.

Thanks! that's great. The tall crown height and medium brim give the hat a commanding form. 100-year-old hat. Fantastic overcoat as well. I always liked long DB coats with back belts. I don't know where you find all this stuff, but I like. Keep it coming.

Good evening. I had some errands to pick-up stuff for work mid morning and wore a Gannon (mid ribbon treatment in charcoal and beaver felt in a whiskey hued felt).

Back to work in a Gannon (charocal ribbon treatment and silvermist beaver felt pounced very thin).

It was a Gannon kind of late day.

Thanks, guys. The ribbon is a burgundy color. I forget what Mr. Gannon called it. I ordered this after seeing Rodolfo's (@Chamuco) Silver Mist Gannon. The batch his was made from had a bit more of a bluish tint, which was very desirable. I really love this color and this hat, but tend to not wear it as often as it seems "dressy" to me. I need to bust it out more often.
