What is a zaftig brim, Alan?

Apologies... it is not the best selection of Yiddish. Zaftig refers to ample dimensions, mostly in volume and mostly in human beings. I just thought the brim seemed a little long for the era, but it might be more that my face is narrow for the hat.

Yes it’s the hat I wore to the polls. Thanks about the beard. I don’t seem to be able to grow any length but I always liked trimmed facial hair.
