Out early this morning for a dog walk in a vintage Stetson Royal De Luxe St. Regis.

The navy blue hued felt is difficult to capture in the sparse morning light.

Errands and then lunch with my daughter. We had a coupon, so there was a Big Mac Attack! She was wearing a Dorfman Pacific Captain's Cap and I had my first Champ, a fine hat indeed.

This early morning a vintage Stetson Beachcomer was my hat of choice for a dog walk.

I like everything about this hat. I am ambivalent about wearing this as I do not want to wear it to an early demise, but it begs to be worn. I shall wear it.

Very recent sin!

Borsalino Qualità Superiore size 7 or 61 cm. or 7 5/8. Fit with some little adjustment

Color is "Pomice" (Pumice) Made during the sixties

Felt is thin and very malleable. Matching ribbon. The combination felt and ribbon are what I liked most of this Borsalino!

It is one of the sins committed in Merano, one of the many Borsalino seen and reviewed, but never noticed and taken into consideration

Absolutely gorgeous hat, Alan. Just as a matter of interest, what was the Pantone color of the year for 1939? I have an overcoat with a 1939 union label that seems to be about that color. I thought it probably dated to some time in the 40s, but I may rethink that.

Today....i was thinking about all the black hats and talk of late and was over in Westerns and it dawned on me, i have a black Stagecoach. Well...this ain’t it but a reasonable facsimile. Fits in nice with some other blacks i have.
