Fabtastic, Perry!

Nice brim swoop. You should show off your creases, too, IMHO.

I keep reaching for Mallorys lately. I don't knowingly own a pre-Stetson Mallory (the Commander - maybe), but the ones I do have are some of my nicest hats and all seem to have an excellent hand. Today would be The Dallas, for thin ribbon Thursday.

It's nice being able to get back to the vintage felts as the weather cools. Not that I mind wearing felt in the summer, but I worry about stressing these old sweatbands.

Dallas Days! Super felt, Jim. I was surprised how nice my Stetson-era Mallory is.

I see I seem to have gotten some sort of grease stain on it. That'll teach me to wear a hat while cooking.

You remind my wife and me of a very dear friend of ours who passed away already, Michael, so it is always a pleasure for us to see your pics. The resemblance is greater in today's pic. You look like Albrecht's brother, I swear.

Bowen's comments yesterday about the Knox Vagabond had me thinking about lightweight hats this morning. As a consequence I selected a lightweight hat from my hat rack to head out on a dog walk.

The vtg. Stetson Bantam was my choice. The lightweight felt and leather sweat make this hat fit ever so lightly on the forehead. I love the feel and fit of these styled vintage hats. I know other forum members have similar vintage hats and always enjoy seeing those oldsters. Go Bantams!

Best, Eric -

Vents - cool in more ways than one.

Thanks Red. This one isn't labeled as a Pilgrim. Says only SEARS Roebuck and Co on the tip and sweat. And Cushion Comfort on the sweat. It does have a pretty cool ribbon.

Thanks,
Michael

I've had a couple non-Pilgrims pass through my hands. I don't know if they dropped the name at some point, or had another line available. Though they do seem to be of more "recent" vintage (1960s).

Let me know if you find a Craftsman hat, Michael. They were probably guaranteed for life!

Thanks Doug.
Nice contrast Perry. Looking good!

The Dallas is just the ticket for TAR Thursday Jim. Great color.

I like the ribbon on this Pilgrim, nice and casual. Looking sporty this morning.

Nice!

The Bantam was such a cool looking lightweight by Stetson. It really fits that name.
Thank you Mike. You've got yourself a sweet TAR today too.

Thanks Steve. The porkpie was my only find from the Halloween section at Goodwill this year. On the hat front anyway. That is a super homburg you have going today. Whatta brim on that one. Ha ha.

Thanks Michael. It's certainly a brim that draws attention. I couldn't help but wear it again today.
