The temperature dropped ten degrees in a day

So I can wear without problems the French felts arrived two days ago

Flechet without lining that had to be sold in West Berlin, but never reach the destination

Heather felt is soft and very malleable, it is deep grey with some pale grey and blue

As most of the France production of the last fifty years the ribbon is a little bit fancy, but interesting

Have a nice day and thanks for likes and appreciation :)
Love that finish and ribbon treatment. A quality hat for sure.

Very classy. Christophe. The more I see of these Mossant hats, the better I like them.

Thank you Stefan. This is one of my favourite hats with a light, grey blue felt. I have another one in a blue beaver, but the crown on that one is lower and slightly less boxy, more classically French in style compared to the taller American ones (which I favour) of the same era. Having said that, I find it is possible to find nice Mossant’s in France as the young people all want stingy brims it seems, the better for the likes of us [emoji3].

Getting back into the swing of things, but still have difficulty putting a bash to this one.

3X Beaver Quality Stetson Open Road, like new, in a size 7-7/8...

Charlie, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a real vintage 7 7/8. They usually turn out to be either size 6 7/8 or some dimension is 6 7/8 and the seller takes that for the hat size. This 3X is a stunner and the bash deserves some serious contemplation.

Took a chance on this on eBay and got lucky. Really sweet felt with one of the smoothest finishes I’ve laid hands on.
Apparently he was a custom hatter in the late 90a early 2000s. There are a couple of short threads on FL
