Hey all!
Homburgs seem to be the theme with me lately. This Tirard "Edka" was supposed to have been a bowler. Fruno made me buy it. Glad that it wasn't and that he did!

No subtle color undertones here..

Doesn't seem at all out of place atop a shirt with pineapples. :)
Have a great day!

Most likely German but no company marks. The construction methods are primitive so possibly a local hatter. The black Fur Felt is tissue thin and will change form with just a slight touch. Difficult to date but I think it could be old. I can't remember when I found this one but luckily it appeared to me today so I decided to wear it.

Wears really nicely Steve.

Over the weekend - English lid - Dulcis. Not in the best state - light moth tracking but all part of the charm in my eyes. Possibly pre-war but always hard to pinpoint accurately. View attachment 182180 View attachment 182181 View attachment 182182

Impeccable, as always Wayne.

I don't understand many people's fascination with firearms. Even people I like and respect, like you and Brent, like them. They scare and repulse me. Oh, well, to each his own.

I get you, Max. I don’t have a fascination with them, but I was raised with them and enjoy shooting and hunting. I’ve mostly given up instructing as it is hard to fit in my schedule and an incipient case of tinnitus gave me some pause.

I grew up with them and learned at a young age to use them as a tool. That's all they are to me.
