What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Had to do a home energy audit today. Wore the new Akubra Balmoral. Cant decide brim up or down for work. Wife likes my brim it up I'm partial to down. but then again I've never thought about wearing hats brim up before. Just feels a little odd.

Thanks for the welcome. It seems we have our work cut out for us in regards to the 7 5/8 problem. I only like vintage fedoras, and good luck finding anything over 7 3/8!

They’re out there, but they take a lot of time and effort to find and don’t come cheap when they do pop up. I keep saying that I’m about done with my collecting, but I keep looking and adding the odd piece. I hope to not be much competition for you.

After almost 3 hours in the dentist's chair today, where my teeth were scanned, cut, filed, measured, and hacked in order for a bridge to be put in place (felt like the Golden Gate Bridge was the role model), I felt like feeling human again by showboating one of my favourite hats. This wonderful Borsalino Lobbia curtesy of Daniele a couple of years back.

My new-to-me Gun Club is just a slight brim bump from going all "Norton" on me.

Homburgs seem to be the theme with me lately. This Tirard "Edka" was supposed to have been a bowler. Fruno made me buy it. Glad that it wasn't and that he did!

No subtle color undertones here..

Doesn't seem at all out of place atop a shirt with pineapples.

My Stetson whitehall isn't too bad with the brim up. Or brim neutral.... Before I thought of Norton my first thought was of Corporal Agarn.

Rainy day with cooler temperatures. So no straw today. Chose this Knox 5th Ave for errands and a dinner date.

Reshaped the pineapple. A bitwith a little steam.

Most likely German but no company marks. The construction methods are primitive so possibly a local hatter. The black Fur Felt is tissue thin and will change form with just a slight touch. Difficult to date but I think it could be old. I can't remember when I found this one but luckily it appeared to me today so I decided to wear it.
