Gotta love the Bari Sax. At least I do.Ah, a favorite. Sometimes bari sax plays the same lines with the bass bone.
I like this one Ken!Another Resistol Byer Rolnick day. Beaver 100 with mulekicks.

Wow quite a line up. Nice. What did you play, Bill? I was a bari sax and clarinet man. Got to play with Mel Torme, Lew Tabackin, and Frank Rosolino in high school. Jazz educator conventions in Wichita and Chicago, and the Seattle opera house a couple times.
Nice. Did they get that to fit in the overhead compartment? That's some collection of hats behind it, too.The light, the lids, the love!! Your painting with light of late is lovely, Michael.
Your chair is similar to a “birthing chair” my folks brought back from Spain in the late 1970s. We’ve never tried it.

Michael your thrift store is a lot better than mine. I'm going to have to complain.Nice. Did they get that to fit in the overhead compartment? That's some collection of hats behind it, too.
I got this stingy milan the other day at the thrift and am wearing it now and for the bike ride I just got back from. It's missing the tip label, but ebay tells me it's a brand called Empire State and that it is made of hemp.

On the sweatband it's called Deflex and says it's KL-18 Processed, Non Spot, Rain Resistant and Milan Weave.

Very flexible stuff.
Have a great afternoon,

Mel Tormé is still my favorite male jazz vocalist. Careless Hands is my favorite. What did you play, Bill? I was a bari sax and clarinet man. He's an incredible musician. We played several of his arrangements in Wichita; one night in a smoky jazz club, the day before at Century II Theater. That was in 1977.Mel Tormé is still my favorite male jazz vocalist. Careless Hands is my favorite.
LolKept my fingers off the keys on that one. It was difficult.
It's doubtful, but hey, anything could happen. You're first on the list.Someday, John, I'll talk you out of that thing.
In the meantime, this Dobbs Cross country makes me happy.

Thanks B, Sorry don't know if it's been critiquedI like this one Ken!
I wonder how it compares to it’s counterpart Stetsons, 100 and 7X CB??
Is it critiqued in any other threads?
A fine looking hat on you, Sir.

I guess we won't bring up the old practice of baseball players boning their bats...Dude, phrasing!

Thanks Ken. Nice write up. I suspect it is a very nicely felted hat. Resistol did make some very nice felted hats back in the day. Often under-appreciated in my opinion. Thanks B, Sorry don't know if it's been critiqued
