Just for you, Doc.
Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe—
Please excuse the morning face!
Unparalleled felt, and it has a certain finish that gives it a shine difficult to photograph. I don’t make a habit of wearing grey hats on grey days, because it gets me down, but this baby lends a little optimism.

We've taken a cool turn here, 48°F currently and only rising to 55°F. Might have to actually turn on the heat to keep The General warm (Si, mi generala!). Then the rain has returned....

So I grabbed the NW Hats Stratton conversion to brave the weather. Warm, rugged and mostly water proof.

Very nice Tuk, is that a natural color? Looks heavy duty like a western weight felt.

Very nice! I really enjoy seeing all the nicely done dress hats here on the Lounge, but I began wearing a brimmed hat in my youth for practical reasons. The practical/weather/work hats (whatever you want to call them) always catch my special attention!

It's a sort of tan colored, western weight felt. I picked it up as a dirty, beat up western and Mike Miller turned it into a great Outback shaped hat that I use for hiking, camping, and foul weather. Over 2-3 days, I sprayed an entire can of Scout felt hat water repellent spray on that felt.

Thanks Wood!
