Excellent hats everyone the last couple of days. Sorry for not commenting on them individually, but just haven't had the time. These two were the firm favourites this week.

I promised T Jones the pictures of an imposing black Borsalino with wide brim for his future conversion project, here they are

Borsalino Qualità Superiore. Size 6 or 59 centimeters or 7 3/8 in USA

The hat is not ancient, it is a product of the eighties sold in Germany by A Breiter - Munchen
View attachment 138485
It is very similar to the "Alessandria" model sold in the United States

These are the proportions: Brim is 7.5 cm wide, the open crown is 13 cm. and crease is 11 cm., the ribbon is 1.5 cm. The brim is edged with a thin black ribbon with a very fine workmanship

It is the only Borsalino sold in Europe I own with so wide brim. The felt is medium and malleable without steam.
Grazie for the yesterday likes on the endless "heather French" hats
Have a nice day
I caught this one on the other thread. Such a beautiful finish, it should look grand in the bright sunshine.Really like that one, Red. I just bought my first Optimo Melusine. I won't have it for a while, because it is arriving to Juan Carlos' after he arrives here, but I got two pics.

Thank you, Bowlerman! I am in bed with a cold, but seeing your MGL makes me feel better. And you photographed it well.Just for you, Doc.
Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe—
Please excuse the morning face!
Unparalleled felt, and it has a certain finish that gives it a shine difficult to photograph. I don’t make a habit of wearing grey hats on grey days, because it gets me down, but this baby lends a little optimism.

We, who live in a place with civilized weather, wear the same clothes year-round, and don't understand what you guys are doing living up there. [emoji2]Thanks you, max. It's the time of the year for chamois and velour finishes.
Ha, thanks Jeff, it's actually LLBean, I think a Pendleton knockoff. BTW love the Hollywood look on your Borsa.Exemplary. Another Pendleton? I might have to start looking at those.
