I resemble those thoughts, Bowen. Wear them all, wear them well and wear them out.

Thank you Alan. I will, and those i won’t will find a new home. I have more than i can ever appreciate and less time to do just that than many others. Each was a treat and another rung on the learning ladder but all to soon one reaches a point of excess on that ladder that does no good for anyone.

So...Today....it’s the Boss Raw Edge appreciation day. One the Fray in black, Lot# 1558 and one Clear Nutria.
Be well. Bowen

This weekend brought the finishing up of a rebuild. An unfortunate encounter between this Dalton and some spilled wine meant a clean up was in order. To my dismay, I toasted the sweat during a steam cleaning.

So I took it apart, gave it a bath, reblocked it and yesterday installed the sweat (thanks @ Bond). While it's no longer original, I'm very happy with the results. It cleaned up nicely, and the felt was a pleasure to work with. Plus, it's now a true 7 1/4, where before it was a 7 1/8 that "fit" me.

That’s fantastic. The felt looks like it’s really light weight, and that you could re-crease it in as many different shapes as you like without it ever showing a sign of the last one. Really great jacket too!

Thanks, Jeff, the felt is indeed wonderful.

I'd never seen a full picture of you before, Stefan. Now for a real hatless! I haven't given up!

Yeah! And was thin?

Tall, svelte, well-dressed, and debonair. Not fair, is it? At least he’s mean and a complete jerk. :)

Well, at least the last part is correct:D
Give someone a finger....What would be next? Me wearing a green hat?!?

Greetings All:
Today....i’ve been reflecting on several things. Moms, gone and present. Children, blessings beyond words. The passing of friends from long ago and newfound, such as here in the Lounge Family.
Things left unsaid and undone.

Why do i have hats i don’t wear because i feel they are too valuable, rare or pristine. View attachment 168374 View attachment 168375 View attachment 168376 View attachment 168377 View attachment 168379 View attachment 168380 View attachment 168381 Special occasion hats where the special occasion never comes. Then the bell rings all to soon and they are just hats in a box.
So, to that, today...one i wouldn’t wear but today i will so as not to go hoarded and unappreciated before the bell rings closer to home.
A Berteil of Paris, in very dark blue, where G. Borsalino learned his trade as a young man. An exquisite example on all fronts, old and grand.
I hope Bob (RJR) would give it a +1.
Be well. Bowen
Well said, Bowen.
