Today the weather has been very variable, gray and rainy morning and splendid sun at midday
Panizza Special 8.jpg

My favorite purchase of the last few months
Panizza Special 8 bis.jpg

Panizza Special size 59 takes its last walk before summer sleep
Panizza Special 7 bis.jpg
The pastel colors of the Panizza felts were splendid, this is a fantastic dull green

The raincoat is very old and old-fashioned, but I wear it sometimes.

Thanks for your likes for the black Huckel ;)
Compliments to you all for the super fine parade of hats in these days!

I'll extend Whippet Wednesday into a Thursday event also. I love this little mid-gray but I fight the brim constantly. I can snap it down and steam it but after a week or so it's back up again. Oh well, hats will be hats!

A vintage Whippet is in my list, but I’m not holding my breath. Yours might be a bit unruly but it looks great to me.

Hopefully it will be a little more spring like, and possibly less windy, tomorrow.

Borsalino feather weight... so different than what American manufacturers were doing with nutria felt in the 1950s.

That's a great Borsalino nutria, Alan. Fantastic shade of grey with contrasting black mid wide ribbon. The brim shape just adds to its desirability. Nice.

Finally laid my Mom's ashes to rest last week. Dementia finally got the best of her, but even through all of that people were surprised that she retained her sharp wit and her sense of humor. This was her at around 19 or 20 years old...

This was my Mom's Mother, (my actual Grandmother), who she never knew. My Mom's mother was "Miss Columbus", (Ohio), sometime before 1936. This newspaper clipping is one of two pictures that we have of her. She died in the hospital shortly after giving birth to my Mom...

and this is me from the late '70s, (probably around 24 at the time), and I'm hatless!
