Sorry, Dennis. I was in a hurry during my last reply. Not the pinch. The very top of the inside of the crown, like to hold a very pronounced center crease, as to make it a deep wrinkle, as seen from the top.

Dennis, Thanks! Here is a close up of the liner. If you look closely you can see the marks left from the Crease Clip / Holder.

Warmest day of the calendar year ahead. Supposed to get close to 70F, so time to bust out the Panama. Cheap garage sale find by the wife. Won't complain since she humors, if not indulges me in my hat collection. Neat iridescent pug that transitions from blue to hints of red depending on the angle of sunlight:

No truck for this suburban cowboy, so here's a @Bamaboots pose at Starbucks instead. And yes, those are blue suede shoes.

C.G. Wilke "Bürstel Electra" possibly late 1930s.

At one time this hat had a Crease Clip. You can see the wear around the logo.

Still has the original exterior paper size label.

Btw Steve, I don't know if you know this, but the rhyme for the Wilke is based on a German nursery rhyme about a three-cornered hat. We have a version of it in Denmark, too.
