New to me mid-40s Stetson Playboy.

Wow, that is a very interesting Playboy. I looked with amazement at the pics on the Playboy thread. What a Bon Vivant.

Steve; That is a grand stiff felt. The offset ribbon is just plain cool. That may have to be on a future bespoke custom hat for me. Love the hat and characteristics. Thanks for sharing.

Wearing my latest conversion project, a gift from a fellow Lounger. This started out as a '50s era Royal De Luxe Stetson Homburg in light grey. I still have a little tweaking I want to do before I post it in the Conversion Corral. I was surprised at how tall the open crown was on this one. It sported a 5 3/4 open crown. I relanged the 2 5/8 wide brim to a fedora snap brim and recreased the crown to my preferred Teardrop. As creased, the crown is 4 3/4 at the pinch with a rake sloping to just under 4 1/2 at the back and an overall crown height at 5 inches tall.

And...the tweaking I want to do. I want to try and clean this liner and sweat bow up a bit
