Rick,

As usual, I covet your hat but I am also SUPER envious of that moustache and beard! I’m 3 months into a probable (if I’m honest with myself) one year grow for my ‘stache into this:

Best way is to retire so theres no social pressure to shave, let it go 6 months at a time and resist all temptation to trim it yourself. Once established you can go to a professional for shaping. Find out what YOUR beard wants to do and work around that. Mine did not respond well at first... (lots of oiling and brushing) Good luck

Been a rough couple days down here @ Rock Bottom with 10 inches of snow on the ground , single digit temps, a dead furnace, repair guy almost sliding into the pond and to add insult to injury the battery in my truck was dead despite being plugged into a battery tender. WHEW !
Furnace is now working and new battery in truck. Expecting 3-5" more snow in the next 12 hours . Fortunately for me the mailman should be here today before the storm really gets going...delivering a Biltmore Camel color long hair fedora very similar to this silver-grey one I'm wearing today for luck.lol.

7 degrees at the time of the pic. I thought I posted this here before, but i couldn't find it.
A Borsalino Ecosti Marque Grand Luxe 5X in palladio color with a dark blue ribbon. One of my favorites.

Timmy,

I’m in Michigan roughing it right there with you! Already shoveled 3 inches and expecting 5 more! LOVE the long-haired felt!

Stay warm-n-dry,
Lunger

Was thinking I could have put one of Tim's furry hats to good use here today. Temp has dropped 4 degrees in the past hour and a half ( and it was NOT too warm before) I had to go put on something insulated and wool (plus one of my old parkas) in order to go fire up the pipe out back. Chilly damp weather is perfect for a good flat cap paired with English english tobacco.

Today Im firing up some of the last of my King FrogMorton pipe tobacco. My supply is almost gone and its out of production... Ill be sad when this is used up. SOMEWHERE out there theres bound to be a pipe guy with a good stash of the stuff that doesnt like it... I just havent found one yet lol.

Rick,
As I'm sure you know, there are several very active tobacco forums, such as cigarbid.com, where you may well get lucky enough to find that specific stash.
Here in the Boston area, despite new restrictions on such things by our progressive state, you can still find amazing legacy tobaccos in Harvard Square at this very old store, Leavitt & Pierce... See! https://www.leavittandpeirce.com/tobacco

Theres still a fair amount of it around, but most the folks that have it got it as an investment vehicle ( they are really proud of it) Unless I just happen to stumble across a supply at normal prices, My plan is to do lots of taste testing and find my favorite substitute. Lots of tasty stuff out there to play with.

With my accumilated stash Im in no danger of running out lol.
