What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Another wonderful week, Stefan. They're all winners in my opinion.

It's good to see you in a Lock & Co. I know you're not their biggest fan. That heather felt looks like one of their better efforts, though.

Love the shape and colour of the Fléchet.

The Portis has a super shade of blue. It's shape and thin ribbon with its flow on the brim give it a Western vibe.

Brummel's are always a hit.

Who can resist a Hückel in whatever name?

The Berry holds its own in the rain.

However, the Barbisio steals the show for me. It's a gunslinger's Sunday best hat.

Thanks as always for the Sunday omnibus.
Thank you, Steve. You summed it up perfectly!

My goodness. Not gonna go wrong with any of them. Gonna go with the Barbisio Cow Boy. For its unique style.. and for its European take on what a coy boy hat looks like.
Thanks, Joe. Much appreciated.

Finally stopped raining and got up to 48 degrees this evening. Went out to the patio in a nice 60s 2" 3x beaver Sovereign Stetson. Fired up an old Irish pipe (1948... PRE Republic of Ireland) with what is supposed to be one of Bing Crosbys personal tobacco blends. Channeling my inner Crooner this evening! Just for grins here one of my Stetson Ads with Bing in a Stetson hat with a pipe

Very Nice! Years ago I tried a tobacco blend that was said to be a remake of Bing's. I can't remember if I liked it - it's been a long, long, time...

This was Cornell and Diehl "Crooner"... supposedly they got the recipe directly from the guy that used to blend for him. Its the one that used the herb Deertounge ( relative of mint and vanilla families). Not my favorite blend, but its decent

I like them all Stefan, but the Flechet and the Brummel’s are my favorites of this Sunday’s post.

Stetson 4x cowboy hats are one of my favorites for a fedorish conversion. Good base hats to play on without spending a ton of money. Nice color selection too... Ive got an orangish one thats almost done.. Im real fond of something besides brown black and silver lol... These projects have made me keep a good supply of different size and color ribbons... sometimes I have 3 or four different configurations before I decide and sew it on.

I exist in your head
Sunday morning and I'm wearing my Royal Stetson Diplomat with triple stitched overwelt edge and wind trolley.

My apologies for the question that only enlightens one, Timmy. Until you mentioned it I'd never heard of a hat having a wind trolley before and when I look closely I see the cord and button. That looks like it would be awkward to use w/ the tether hanging over the edge of the brim and ran through a button hole on your shirt. Is that the way it works and do you ever use it?

Thanks for pointing it out.
