J. Hückel´s Söhne "Jota Velour", possibly late 1920s early 1930s. There is no Hückel on the Liner and Sweatband. The JHS Crest is the similar to the "Loden" Soft Felts that also do not have Hückel on the Sweatband and Crown Tip Patch. I found this Velour back in 2022.

J. Hückel´s Söhne Promotional Pocket Mirror, possibly 1930s. Found this back in 1922.

Another beautiful velour. Great looking hat all the way down to the patina on the sweatband.

Yet another beauty. Love the logo and the texture on the sweatband…and the wide ribbon.

Found this back in 1922.
You’ve been collecting hats & hat memorabilia for some time, then!!:D

Echter Borsalino "Qualità Superiore", possibly later 1930s. The Mélange felt finish is similar to Velour Soleil so shows a high amount of gloss and is very pliable. The mix of colors from a distance look Stone Gray like. I was very lucky to find this Soft Felt back in 2021.

That one is certainly up there with the finest, Steve. What a spectacular hat!

Looking good the both of you, Gary. Glad you got that Hornskov to work for you.
This morning I'm proud to show y'all one of my latest acquisitions. Much like yesterday's hat, this is another of those " rare as hens' teeth" hats that I felt lucky to find. Demon Hanover made by Hoyt Hat Company in Danbury, Connecticut. There are some moth nibbles here & there but nothing that would stop me from wearing & enjoying this lid.

Very cool find, Tim. A bit of character never hurt a hat.

Day of changeable weather.

Leaden morning with rain on the way, midday strong wind and autumn sun with raining leaves.
I dusted off this Borsalino Qualità Extra Ssuperiore Amiata color and Goraita hat type

Lunch with the family in a neighborhood trattoria, a ballroom once in the sixties of the Veronese musical groups

The hat is an atypical Borsalino (for flat brims) sold in Italy probably in the late fifties early sixties

Thank you for your appreciation and compliments for your headgear.
Had to sit down (luckily I already was) and take a few deep breaths. It seems it's the week of the super Borsalinos. Why didn't I get the memo? In short: it's the very best Borsalino had to offer, Daniele. Superb!

Thanks Stefan, but the Mogul was never a problem. It was the western weight Rancher that I was struggling to love. The good news is that I’m happy with the latest bash & pinch I’ve put on the Rancher, so it’s finally getting the love it deserves, too.

Sunny day with pleasant temperatures. Cold night and temperatures below zero Celsius.
Thibet A. Meer 3.jpg

Walk to enjoy the warmth, accompanied by an ancient Thibet made in France expressely for A. Meer - Strasbourg. The hat is more than a hundred years old and is a blend of fur and wool with a shape that can be dated to the early years of the century. It is wide, but a loved one

It has the features of a homburg without the ribbon edging of the brims.
Imposing with full crown, it has an indescribable charm.

Thank you for your likes which I reciprocate with my heart

Chilly and sunny this morning.. Good day for a warm flannel and bright Open Road

I’m with you on the bright hat and warm shirt choice Rick!

Although the tree shadows are making the hat look dirty.

Resistol 20X Diamond Horseshoe with a like new Pendleton wool Lodge shirt that somehow was missed by the on-line sorters at Goodwill and ended up on our local rack for $5.98. :)
