It's TART * & I'm sporting my Open Crown Stetson 3X with onion skin cover over embroidered Last Drop liner.

* if this one doesn't qualify for thin a$$ ribbon Thursday I don't know what would. lol. This is the thinnest ribbon of all the hats in my collection.

What a great old Stetson, Tim!
Those “Shoe String” ribbons are definitely thin, making it a bit tougher if one ever has to do restoration work and hide hand stitched sweatband stitches.

you deleted your question to me.

A thin ribbon is a ribbon like on a Stetson OR; a thin ribbon may or may not have a campaign bow or some other type bow. It’s a flat ribbon & not a corded ply ribbon like a 2-cord or 3-cord. A mid ribbon is 7/8 - 13/16” wide & common to Stetson Playboys.

Describing the hat in your post, if you said you had a Stetson 3x6 OC skinny in 3X a collector would know exactly what you have without seeing it.

One of my earliest conversions from way back when. A Resistol Stagecoach in Chestnut. These days, though, if it starts out a Western I try to keep it Western if I have enough hat after reblocking.

Another noir pic with my Stagecoach

When I left for work this morning, dense fog. When I went out at lunch, it'd dropped 10 degrees and was rainy and windy. When I left, it was clear and sunny.

They say it's going to snow later. Welcome to November in Ohio.

Yet, rain, snow, fog, nor gloom of night will stop this Marathon from being a great lid.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Jota Velour", possibly late 1920s early 1930s. There is no Hückel on the Liner and Sweatband. The JHS Crest is the similar to the "Loden" Soft Felts that also do not have Hückel on the Sweatband and Crown Tip Patch. I found this Velour back in 2022.

Thanks for the explanation. Just out of curiosity, what is the 3x6 you refer to in the description ?
