Love the profile on that one
Thank you, me too!

The hat tapered side-to-side straight out of the box and I’m considering sending it back to have it reblocked. But honestly, this is what a lot of hats looked like back in Teddy Roosevelt’s day so I’m thinking to keep it like this for old time sake. I’m still undecided. Here you can see the taper more easily - it came to me super boxy.

Can definitely see the taper more from this angle. It’s a great hat either way..

For the price of shipping it, I could buy one of those plastic blocks and try to stretch the crown back out a bit myself. I’m considering that option for the new year but just not sure the plastic will take the amount of pressure I might need to exert on it.
They can take a lot of pressure. I recently reblocked my black hat.

Thanks for that report - your hat that does look great!

But actually my Gannon is very tall - it's more than 6 inches the way I measure it, so I don't think the plastic block will work. The tallest I found was 5-3/4. :(
Yes that is the tallest they make.
On a side note... the black hat has a 2 3\8 brim!!!!
I never would have thought it but that is becoming my favorite width for a brim!!!!!
