Very nice! What are the specs on that one?
I think he was asking about the 7XCB…?
Thanks Brent. I missed that.

@Who me? ,

That was a rescue hat. Here is how it looked when I got it. I still have the feather band if anybody wants it!

It has a 5" crown, 3" bound brim, 1 7/8" sweat. The original 3/8" ribbon and wind cord were under the feather band. It is size 6 7/8 long oval.

I remember that one on the bay. Glad you rescued it and got rid of that buzzard. Looks great now!

Yes...or the good old fashioned Chicken Pot Pie :)

(I had to use the chicken pot pie analogy to help the grandkids understand why the hat is called a pork pie.)

That's a nice one! I think, in Texas, they call that a brisket pie. :D

What incredible fun it is to do something special with family. I'll have to put that on my bucket list.
My daughter and I rode the vintage subway today—1930s cars run on the normal D line. So fun—I’ve wanted to do this for years but never coordinated it right. If you’re in NYC they will be running the remaining Saturdays in December. Really a great experience.

On the Eleventh Day of StingyMas…

The final day of Stingymas is here and I just couldn’t decide between these two hats from Willoughby Hatters of France. So why not bring both!

The first is the Consul I a super soft and fuzzy black stingy. Soft as a blanket.

The second a bit more structured green Heather….this one slightly at the long end of Stingy at 2 1/8

There we’re more Stingies that didn’t make it to StingyMas this year… but that’s ok.. because the real spirit of StingyMas is that these great hats can get worn more than on just these eleven magical days.

Thank you to all who joined in on the Stingy fun and thanks to those who watched along.

Happy Festivus.. I trust you’ve aired your grievances and had your tests of strength

No such thing as spring cleaning in Japan; it’s nenmatsu no ōsōji - The big end of year clean up. I took the water blaster to the windows, stairs & a few other grubby bits of the house. My Snowy River looked after my head. It handled the water and flying debris with aplomb.

Glad to have that out of the way. Luckily it was unseasonably warm after near freezing temperatures the previous few days.
