Last night it was a jet black cavendish from the local shop. Probably the sweetest I’ve had, I get lots of raisin notes. I’ve had the Stanwell for years but have only used it a couple times, so... now making the commitment to break it in with aromatics.

I’ve liked a few of them, but have been hit or miss. Ashton Artisan’s blend is great. Intense but flavorful, and reminds me of a summer barbecue. Real peppery. Have you had it?

Wearing my refurbished Kevin McAndrew Western this chilly a.m. A fellow lounger gave this one to me. I was able to take it apart and clean it up for a reblocking and a different crease and brim shape. I reused everything that was original to the hat, except for the OR style thin ribbon and bow that I put on it. It's a nice hat and one of my favorites...
