Just wow! Those old hats simply, or maybe not simply, had more flare and quality.
Love all that detail in the stamp, Steve!
Randy and I were just reveling in logos of old.
Randall, Thank you!
My friend that was the senior portrait engraver at the U.S. BPG printed the first stamp on an Intaglio press (the stamp was for Letter press). They were for the JHS Tonak 220 Year Anniversary celebration September 6th and 7th 2019 in Novy Jicin, Czech Republic. You should be able expand the photo to see the detail.

Thank you? Do you mean the basting stitches along the top of the ribbon and bow? If so those were applied by the hat company to protect the ribbon and bow during storage. They were suppose to be removed by the retailer but often they remain. In this case that hat is NOS.
Wow that is super interesting - danke fuer die Erklaerung! Ich musste nochmal den Hut anschauen - der ist total fantastisch!

A new-to-me Dobbs that came courtesy of @BobHufford.

I posted about this one earlier today but the post didn’t have the right vibe for this thread. Here’s a second go at it.

This guy is one size too small and it’s noticeable. Even though I can make this work, I believe it will be my last purchase in this size.

Happy weekend friends.

Very nice, Nathan. I was eyeballing that one myself. I like the wider brim on that one and the great colours.

J. Hückel´s Söhne Standard "Loden" possibly late 1920s. This one is from my 2016 NOS Czech find.

That ticks all the boxes. Magnificent, Steve.

My Gannon Westerner telescope gets a morning out today. Silverbelly with a Picadilli green ribbon.

Splendid hat, Randy.

Very nice, DAvid. It has all that presence of a Knox.
