My Borsalino Gorasgu Angora today. Mike, Bowen, and Stefan reminded me I haven't worn it in a while

About ten minutes after I posted those pics I bumped my head against a glass shelf. If I hadn't been wearing a thick felt I would have cut my forehead. As it is, it left a deep groove on the felt and the ribbon, and a 2-inch bruise on me. I hope I can brush the groove out. In any case, my Angora saved me from an ugly scar, plastic surgery, etc. That hat was a very good investment.

Happy Hump Day, and happy vernal equinox.

Twenty-seven Fahrenheits on the way to work, and it's supposed to be in the 50s when I leave. Welcome to Ohio, where you can experience four seasons in three days. One hundred-fiftieth anniversary Stetsonian up top today, keeping my head toasty.

Ahhh...someday a 7 5/8 light grey will come my way. Great looking modern Stetson!

Wearing my latest conversion project. This hat started out as a size 6 3/4 Biltmore 6X Western that I blocked up four sizes to a 7 1/4 to fit me. This hat boasts a tall and straight 6 inch open crown with a 2 3/4 snap brim. I creased it to my preferred tear drop. I also reworked the finish to a nice and rich 'Brushed Velour' finish. There's more in the conversion corral.

The hat looks much better than the pictures show...

Today...it’s a big changeup for me. I just don’t have the stones to wear a big hat very well. This one i’m calling my Yahoody...because it reminds me of his. Doc Max alerted me to this and i bined it quick as i could.
Dobbs Twenty-Five Rancher. This is one fine hat. The felt is nicer than any No.1s i have and right there with a Churchill 50 except much less stiff.
Dobbs really made a hell of a Western with this one. Original box, quite the virgin. Don’t have the heart to crease it...yet!!
Be well. Bowen
Boy, I like that hat Bowen. Looks great.

Hope you’re ok Max. I’ve had that happen more than once.
Need a t-shirt that says “Hats Save Lives”.

Gorgeous Terry, I'll check out the other thread. That finish is hard to photograph. I want to pet it...
