What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I've been wearing this 3X Beaver Quality Stetson Western that I converted some time back. The generous Lounger who gave it to me said it had a story to tell. It was really rough and dirty when I first got it. It was definitely a hat that someone used for work. I cleaned it up just enough to preserve some of its history. Naturally aged and distressed, I reused the original brim binding and 3 ply ribbon. To me the hat has tons of character. I took my inspiration for this hat from an earlier 1940s version of an Open Road that had a 3 ply thin ribbon with tails and a keeper. An even earlier OR version was a wide ribbon fedora.

Before and after pics
Fantastic, Terry.

Very late posting, but here we go…
Cherry blossoms in full bloom over here, but the weather wasn’t playing its part as we went to a rugby game the other day.

I wore my Campdraft and Etsuko a Leisure Time, as we both got drenched.

The hats were fine after a night drying in the hotel room.

Another great job, Terry. I'm always amazed at how you resurrect those seemingly gone hats.

Stetson Whippet - Caramel
5 inch crown as shaped
1 1/2 chocolate brown grosgrain ribbon
2 5/8 brim with 3/8 bound edge

Thanks go out to @BobHufford for the heads up on this newest addition to my whippet pack. Love this light brown caramel color and ribbon combo. A few shades lighter than my “milk chocolate” whippet.

Two hat day for me today, Mallory for this morning's activities.

This afternoon, I wore my Gannon Highwayman for walking the dog in a little bit of drizzle. I just got this hat back from Mr Gannon, he reblocked just slightly larger and put a quick crease in it for me. It fits and looks better than ever.

Just posted this in the “Show Us Your Stingy Brims” thread but since I am wearing this today…a vintage trilby on the way into work!

Good morning from a snowy Minnesota. No April Fools joke - Last night, this morning we got another 9" of snow.

Snow removal this morning found me in a cap and then hand shoveling under the brim of an Akubra Camp Draft. It was a treat to sip coffee and appreciate my efforts.

I needed to head out and pick-up more fuel for the snowblower and I wore a Gannon Playboy.

I cut some trails in snowshoes and sport'd an un-lined Playboy.

I have started a beef brisket on the grill. I have been enjoying wearing my Gannon Beachcomer.

The Camp Draft continues to be one of my favorites in my small collection. Looks great on you. The Leisure Time looks good too! I may have to add one in the future.
