Following Gary's @The Shoe lead. Enjoying Mexican food. This restaurant is a little different in that they specialize in food from the Yucatan peninsula. The guacamole is only the beginning. EXCELLENT!
Wearing an open crown flat brim Beaver Brand.
Looks great. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did (see the hats and drinks page to see just how much we did enjoy it!)
Mexican food is a rare treat for us. There aren’t any Mexican restaurants in Kinokawa city, where I live, and as far as I know, there aren’t any in the whole of Wakayama Prefecture.

C. G. Wilke possibly late 1920s. I found this Velour back in 2013.

That's a nice one Brent, really nice. I love that ribbon work. I'll call it the horizontal ladder. BEAUTIFUL!
Second that, the maroon ribbon works well with the navy blue and that ribbon has a fabulous aesthetic.

In the Hawaiian Shirts & Fedora thread Bill posted a hat in a colour called Moss Green.

It's a fine hat & shirt indeed Bill, but I was
taken by the way Moss Green has various
aspects according to the way the light falls.

Now that that I have a bespoke Moss Green hat I can stop coveting others. What's the betting when I pose in this hat outdoors it will look quite a bit lighter? That won't be for a while though, the UK is under a deluge of rain at present.

Of course I was my Windy Weather Whippet for a business trip to the Windy City (or there abouts)

Woke up this AM to a bunch of that white stuff that Eric has been getting lately. Not something this Florida boy is very used to. The Bill Blass camel hair overcoat that I picked up at the thrift store for a just few bucks a couple years back finally came in handy!

We continue to praise modern Tonak production
Argento Tonak 9.jpg

In this case we have one of the first Czech hats I bought a few years ago
Argento Tonak A.jpg
I had to choose between three types of gray and I opted for this, having guessed what I wanted.
The gray in question is light and silvery at the same time with a ribbon that is gray with a hint of pink
Argento Tonak 6.jpg
The brims are edged in the same color and the proportions are, as usual, generous.
I regret not having also bought the same hat in dark gray, now alas it is no longer in production.
Argento Tonak 1.jpg
Thank you to everyone who enjoyed watching Tonak by liking it.
As always, congratulations to all of you for the magnificent hats worn these days.
