Today, Friday is the time for a Borsalino from the 70s
etfwiw.jpg

There are no indications on the quality because the logo on the lining is quite rare to see
xqdqpz.jpg

The color is "Folco" and the year of manufacture 1976

Felt is a marvellous, soft and velvety with a short fur finish

The color is a dense choccolate and the lustre finish is called melusine

On the sweatband there are six X which are the "touches" of the manufacturer's marketing

Have a nice Friday. Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino "Debrosan"
Next week more hats, but not Borsalino ;)
That is a petting hat for sure, Daniele. Has me wringing my hands just to touch it. Good thing I have a velour hat nearby.

Very nice, Daniele. The color is very rich, and I love that liner.

Another unseasonably frosty day in SA Ohio. Today, a Barclay which I rebuilt from scratch about a year ago. No idea of it's age, but it is one of the nicest felts I own. Thin, lightweight, takes a crease with ease. A slightly lower crown than is my preference, but it's still a joy to wear. Plus, a color that you don't often see. Kind of a greenish-brownish-bronze thing it has going on.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
The rebuild was a success, Jim. Very cool hat. And I see what you mean with the colours: hard to pin down what it is exactly.

I saw a picture of Ryan Gosling wearing a gray Optimo and realized I haven't worn mine in ages.
Ana already bought the piñatas for our annual December 22 posada party. I think she overdid it with the size this time.

Very nice colour combination on that Optimo, Max. With that many hats some do get neglected sometimes.

I like that style. Cool hat, John. I leaves me wondering though if that almost backbow was always intended that way
Thanks Stefan!
When I received the hat from Goodwill the original bow (poorly taken photos of original state are in the Keith Brothers thread) was in the same position, held carefully in a carelessly rumpled look. There was a thread running through it to hold the wrinkles and folds just so. It had been there long enough that it disintegrated when I removed it to repair the hat. The one on it now is a replacement I made meant to capture the flavor of the original. If that bow position wasn't intended by the hatter, it was done long enough ago to make it an original feature to me! :)

Both nice hats. Is that a piece of your bicycle there?

Very nice OR Michael.
Exceptional color!

Thanks Bowen. It's a changeable color. Sometimes it's quite green and the ribbon has a lot of bronze tones. Other times it's grey. One of my favorites, whatever color it is choosing to show.

Thanks,
Michael
