Good morning. I checked after my walk and the bird baths are frozen. It is a cool morning. A Stetson Stratoliner DeLuxe was my morning walkabout hat.

Warmer clothes, coffee and a Gannon wanderer were de-rigor.

the granite Winchester felt hue is hard to capture in the morning.

Working on trimming some rose bushes in a Stetson Flagship. The petersham ribbon looks good on this lighter fawn hued felt. I knwo from previous posts that this ribbon style provokes strong dis-likes and likes. For this hat it works.

That Strat is just about flawless. Always love to see the Flagship.

Flagship, great description, I wanted a Stratoliner to top off a suit that I had made for an Aloha themed wedding. Just couldn't see one in the colour that I wanted. Esther made one, and a very good copy it is too.

Note the suit, how crumpled it looks. Next time I will listen to my tailor, linen is best mixed with synthetic.

I got a little lost with the very welcome visit from my friend Steve
I had some new hats to show you and the weather helps me with completely warm days, too much for the season.

Barbisio "Sportex" Ratiné size 6 1/2 or 60 centimeters, 7 1/2 in the USA.

The felt is the interesting part of the hat: its dark blue color is fantastic as is the drafting of the dye, the finish is "Ratiné" ("withered" in English) and that is the surface is slightly wrinkled and in relief. The ribbon is in complete harmony with the color of the felt and it has very low total weight.

The proportions of the hat are generous, suitable for an autumn that, after having announced itself, has completely disappeared

Congratulations on your hats that I have very little commented on.

This was my first vintage hat—a Stetson Sovereign 20 Mode Edge. New sweat and ribbon (petersham was all that was available at the time) but continues to serve as a great everyday hat.

A gray Stetson Royal DeLuxe OR was my walkabout hat.

The mid 27'f (-4c) temps have me in caps for the balance of my morning escapades.

Good Thursday folks.

My morning walkabout was under the brim of an Adam fedora. A minty Majestic Quality with the "Evershape Process." The unique ribbon treatment hat kept my head warm and protected.

I stayed in the ribbon treatment theme with wearing a Dobbs Featherweight unlined fedora for cold brewed coffee.

Storing lawn furniture and filling bird feeders in a Dobbs Rainbow.
