I wore the new Tula palm leaf hat for outdoor dining on Sunday.

As I’ve noted before, I had several issues with this hat.
The brim goes down front and back in the Australian Outback style - like my Akubra Cattleman. However, this went too deep at the front. That was a pretty easy fix.
The ribbon finishing was shoddy. And it tended to slide up when I wore the hat. I’ve now put a pug (that I bought planning to use on a different hat) over the ribbon.

The biggest issue, though, was the elastic sweatband, that just felt weird and uncomfortable. I’ve discovered that if I pull the sweatband down at the back, it’s actually quite comfortable. It’s not the ideal solution, but it’s not visible when I’m wearing it, thanks to the brim flange.

Busy Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I did duty with our 40's Woody auto at the 2022 Back to 50's Car Show. 12,000 cars where on display at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds for 2 days.

My nephews did most of the "showing." Hats - oh yes, I wore a Champ panama hat for my Saturday late morning and evening.

Sunday early morning escapades in a Supernatural Ecuadorian Panama.

This is truly a grand panama.

I grilled breakfast in a Stetson Premier.

Finally it was 9:00am which is the accepted standard for "early grass cutting" in my neighborhood. I was under the brim of a Sunbody (palm straw fedora).

I cleaned up and completed morning errands and bush trimming in a Pilgrim Panama fedora.

After wearing a brown Federation for about 20 years and various beige Akubras I am still not sure how I feel about the Carbon Grey Squatter. It’s only been about a month. I wonder if it will grow on me. Or I should just try and stiffen the federation,

Or save up and buy a new one.

The squatter isn't bad, I have a Stylemaster that I've never really bonded with kinda like you and your squatter, but I think I'm going to be saving my pennies for a Fed IV. Now I have to decide whether to save a few more for the deluxe.
