Janyška "Praga", 58cm, NOS condition, probably late 1930s early 1940s. Janyška & Cie. was started in the 1920s in Valašské Meziříčí – Krásno about 25 km from Nový Jičín (JHS, AP, BB). Janyška & Cie. was a Czech company based on Austrian Hat making tradition. This hat is from my May 2016 NOS Czech find.

Thanks, Marcel. Have you given a western a try? I started my hat journey with an almost exclusive focus on homburgs and have branched out from there.
My wife has some wider brims Akubra and Hornskov, but that doesn't suit me at all. For me the max. brim width is 6,5 - 7cm. And cowboy hats in the netherlands??? Well..........i don't think so

@Joao Encarnado wears LARGE brimmed western hats in Portugal and does it with aplomb. I think it’s mostly a matter of getting used to seeing yourself in them. Their also very practical and effective at keeping the sun off you. Add some spurs, a Mexican poncho, and a Colt Single Action Army revolver and you’ll be all set!
