More things are opening up again here in Denmark. Some restrictions are being revised. Not quite normalcy, but it's nice to feel we're getting there.

I got this hat from Mm25 that was one size to small. He couldn’t do anything with it. I ended up moisturizing the sweat band and hat band and got a little success stretching it but not a lot. Finally did the cowboy method of fitting a hat. Put it in the sink and filled it with water. Dabbed off the excess water and jammed it on my head. We will see tomorrow how successful it is. A bit uncomfortable and giving me a red mark on my forehead. The felt is dry but I don’t trust the sweat band yet. The hat is so old the sweat is ripping so it may need sent away in the end anyway. Time will tell.

Kind of reminds me of Ben Fosters hat in 3:10 to Yuma.

This one has the Knox logo on the wind button. Don’t know if it’s original to the hat...but I like it.

BTW: I have a strong feeling the wind button is original. It was on the hat when I bought it some time back.

This morning a dog soirree in a 30's Canadian Brock.

I went out on an essential errand, to pick-up freshly roasted coffee, in a Royal Stetson. I selected this hat off the hat rack to start a tan/caramel felt hue theme for today.

Ahhh, puttering about on the property and sipping "fresh" coffee. I chose a Stetson Whippet as my "coffee hat."

Update on the hat I soaked and wore yesterday. It was fine till about 3:00 then started feeling like a vice grip. So I took it off and put my hat block in it. It feels much better today but still a little tight. With the sweat band breaking down it may have to go off for a professional reblocking.

Just got back from playing a littly hooky from work. Popped out to the USAF Museum as they had the C-47, "That's All, Brother" in for a visit.

The C-47 "Skytrain" has it's roots in the DC-3 and was manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company. The "Brother" was the first aircraft to cross the channel late in the evening of June 5, 1944, as the opening salvo of Operation Overlord, carrying Airborne troops to go into battle. Constructed in 1942, the "Brother" also made glider runs to support the invasion. This aircraft went into commercial use sometime after the war and was found around 2015, acquired by the Commemorative Air Force, and restored to it's condition/state on D-Day.

I tried to be period appropriate, and wore my Marathon thin ribbon, which I believe to be from the early 1940s, if not earlier.

The Dayton Daily News has some photos of it's arrival on Tuesday. It will be departing this afternoon.
