Yes Sir, Jim that Hanover Square is one cool hat. Seems like all the in-crowd has one. I need to find one in my size so I can join the club.
Thanks ET.I like it Michael. Very sharp!
Thanks Randy. It is a great springtime hat. I couldn't get my photos today to give it the true buttery yellow color. It warmed up here more than expected and I spent almost the whole day out working in the yard in shirtsleeves. Admittedly with a wool sweater as a base layer. Ha ha.That looks like the perfect springtime hat, Michael. Stay warm!
What a fine velour! You have a never ending line of great hats, Steve. absolutely love the styling of that 13 pleats bow. One to copy some day, if you don’t mind.Fritz Hückel Hutmacher "Zephyr Seal Velour" probably mid 1950s. This hat was made for the American Market. Hückel Weilheim probably couldn't use just Hückel because Tonak had the rights to the trademark.
The City Hat Bowler saw the light of day this Sunday. It's a very comfortable fitting hat. View attachment 316175 View attachment 316176 View attachment 316177
Nice one @DaveProc! and you are right, 2020 put a few more grey hairs on us all.R.M.Williams Campdraft.
I particularly like the pic highlighting all the gray hairs in my beard, none of which existed a year ago. It sure has been a long year.

Wonderful story and wonderful hat Randall. Looks fantastic on you.View attachment 316180 1955 Dobbs 2 7/8 Guild Edge in Silverbelly that was given to me by a 74 year old man who I’m building a one car garage for.
Told him I was a collector that refurbished hats and he took me inside and showed me he one that was owned by his Grandpa. He talked about his “Gramp”, the hat and memories and I told him how special the Dobbs was and how much the hat might sell for and other hat facts.
An hour later he came out to the garage and gave it to me! A very nice and gracious man. Wouldn’t let me pay anything for it. Wish it had his initials stamped in the sweatband.
As luck would have it, it’s my size!
My new favorite. View attachment 316182 View attachment 316181 View attachment 316178 View attachment 316179 These last two pics are before and after shots of the liner. I’ve come up with a good way to clean them without removal.
