Thank you, Robert. A good hat can get you far in the world!Steur, those homburgs are magnificent, definitely the lawyer: Steur QC.
For a minute I read that as the 25th, not the 23rd. You nearly share a birthday with my lady, Tina.

There you are Jack, what do you know about this?

Thanks, Michael.Pretty close to NOS, Stefan. It has the slightest indentation in the top like it might have been stored on the crown at one time and the sweat is a bit dry. I gave it some conditioner and will give it another feeding in a few days.
That 3X is great, Stefan. Don't seem to see many 3X homburgs around here.
Thanks ET. I like it too, though it's is in need of a little reflattening one of these days. I tried it open crown for awhile as it has the old Boss profile, but could never get the traces of the cattleman it came with to disappear. i really liked it open.
Thanks,
Michael
A bit late, but still: happy birthday, Jonathan! Hats are looking great.Rounded out 38 yesterday with the round top Woodrow Amylyte bowler:

Thank you, Steve.Stefan, Thanks! I wasn't able to find anything out about it so another mystery.
Fantastic Homburg duo from you yesterday!
Good to see you, Mike. Barium makes for a good hat-colour, but that's about it, I think. This is shaping up to be quite the week. I had oral surgery to put in the stud for a dental implant, no fun. They did knock me out for this procedure, so I wore my 1950s Stetson "surgery" hat yet again. Today I ventured out to pick up some yummy pain meds and the "Love Potion #9" for my second procedure in a week at the CT Scan for my screwed up insides. I go in early in the morning after drinking this imaging juice, I think it is Barium (?). Since it was sunny today, I wore a custom Black Sheep Hat Works fedora in silver belly beaver felt. My Allen Edmonds Maxfield loafers saw the daylight today as well. Fun times...

A beauty, Steve!J. Hückel´s Söhne "Jota" "Seal Velour" possibly late 1930s and a recent find. This hat is in New Old Stock condition.

Today...since it’s double Dobbs Forty day in the classifieds i couldn’t resist a double down Dobbs Forty post. Seeing those classifieds had me feeling the 40s and feeling remiss not fondling the 40s enough.
So...some Forties for the fire and the fortunate fellows that find themselves fulfilled with a fine find. Well...i’m outta “f”s so fare thee well.
And safe.

A new hat: it must be worn! Lovely, Joe.View attachment 314830
Stetson Twenty Five - The Open Road
Silverbelly
4 3/8 crown as shaped - about 5 1/4 open
3/8 light golden grosgrain ribbon
2 1/2 brim with 1/8 matching binding
I’m really happy with this latest arrival... Stetson Twenty Five Open Road. It has a real nice feel to it... shapes very well and has a nice profile. No paper tag under the sweat... I was thinking early to mid 60s. (Editing myself... mid 1950s) If anyone has anymore insight on age. A few small blemishes here and there in the felt nothing significant.. A bit of an abrasion in one small area of the brim binding and the wind trolley has been removed. But all and all I am really happy with this hat. It fits and feels great... I suspect it will get a good amount of wear.

I decided to clean up our little backyard patio table nook overlooking the lake and we were enjoying a beverage at sunset... until it appeared... something was overlooking us!

Today...it’s yesterday’s older brother with his own attitude. He doesn’t say “been there, done that, got the T-shirt”, he says “T-shirts weren’t invented then“.
Stetson Boss Raw Edge Fray sweat.
One of the lowest Lot numbers i’ve seen around here and the most obliging felt because it probably has been there, done that.
Be well and safe.

Off to a flying start, Joe. Gotta love these lightweight hats. With Stefan’s @steur Italian week coming to a close this past weekend. I thought it might be fun to start my own little Italian week in his honor. (essentially Borsalino in my case) My little parade will pale in comparison both in size, breadth and stature to Stefan’s fine collection. However after getting a few new arrivals out of the way earlier this week... here is the first entry.
Borsalino Qualita Superiore Nero Black
Tipping the scales at just 64 grams appears to be the very lightest hat in my collection. This Italian made Borsalino appears to have been made for the Gibraltar market.
