What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

View attachment 301229 Kinda odd to me, but this hard bowler is the most comfortable hat I own.
And the oldest too. A great hat for NHD, I think.
Another funny thing about this bowler is that most bowlers have pretty much the same look, yet of the many I’ve put on it’s the only one that I like, and like a lot.

Bowlers all seem alike at first, but I've had the same experience as you did, Randall. The differences are subtle, but they are there and can make or break a hat.

Another excellent petting hat, Alan.

Another one from the pre Christmas Panos haul. Ruby's of Brooklyn. The wide ribbon, back bow, wind cord, classic shape, and colour just blew all the whistles for me :) View attachment 301316 View attachment 301319 View attachment 301320
Hope you saved something for Christmas as well. Panos sure made a heck of haul.

Thanks again Stefan. It's a 3 in 1, part of my Stetson, Manchester, and Petitgas collections :)
Funny, I have the same collections (well, the petitgas collection only counts 1);)

Looks like I'm a day late to the National Hat Day celebration. This is an older pic of my 3X Stetson thin ribbon conversion, but I'm wearing it today. It started out as a '50s era Last Drop Stetson Western that was two sizes too small...

What a splendid array, Stefan. I love it when you catch up at the weekend.

I have some catching up to do. We're still in Italian week.

Intermission. The French were to be found regularly throughout history in the Piemonte region and it belonged to the French until 1861. Don't know where I'm going with this, but there is a short French intermission in Italian week. Here it is.

I like everything about that one except its size, Bob.

Thanks Stefan! I'm thrilled to have it.

And can be an excuse to buy yet another black bowler (although I really *need* a brown one now).

Love it! Congrats Steve!

It’s raining on the new-to-me “New Slant” (Portis).

So did things look better under the New Slant? Great hat, Bob.

Beautiful, Michael. I like the crease and the flange on it. Works a treat brim up.

Very nice, Steve. Love these heather felts.

Wow, Brent. Killer hat!

Still number one. Outstanding.
Thanks Stefan.

Did they make a liner out of helium on the Ergosan? Great bunch of Italian manufactury and a nice French interlude as well.

The felt is incredibly thin. It even has a leather sweatband. It would have taken some next level felting skills to pull this off.
Thanks, Michael.
