The marathon looks as good as always, Michael. Great outfit.
Thanks Stefan. I'm becoming a big fan of breeks. Great for biking.

Italian week is going strong. Here we go.

Another great lineup of Italian hats, Stefan. Could be mate our Idorscas? How many pups do they usually have in a litter?

Here’s one that I remodeled from a JW Hats 7X Beaver 7 1/8 short and badly tapered crown “Aussie” styled hat that Randy McCamey @Rmccamey gave me.
Said he wished to use this hat as a thank you for sending him an eBay link to a mint 7X CB. He didn’t have to do that, but as y’all know, the Professor is a real good fella.
I’ve turned it into a Strat clone in black. Dyed some dark green 3/8” ribbon using a Sharpie. The vintage pure rayon grosgrain wouldn’t take black Rit dye!
Yes, the sharpie ink may bleed into the felt if it gets wet, just a bit, but hey, it’s a black hat.
2 1/2 bound brim. 5 1/2 open crown.
Threw in one of my new patented sweatbands and an old liner from a Mallory to make for another fine Frankenhat.

No, my sweatband stitching isn’t really patented. But I haven’t seen anyone else doing it and have to wonder why?

Holy cow Randall!! Looks fantastic. I’d like to see before and after. I’d say you definitely did @Rmccamey proud on this one

My favorite for this week is the Borsa Gulaela Folco. Well, as the two Titanic dudes said in the crow’s nest, “NICE BURG!!!”
...Or something like that.
Thanks, Randall. This one does have the proportions to sink a ship, but so far so good:)

Thanks Stefan. Good advice indeed. Italian week is humming along quite nicely. The whole look with the Barbisio Maia is fantastic
Thanks, Joe. Much appreciated.

Now there's an idea. I have another one, so I can see if they live up their rabbit origins or are more like pandas.;) Your Idorsca seems to be from a different branch though (which is a good thing for breeding).

Another fine job, Randall. Good to show how nice black hats can be.

There it is: proof that velour improves your mood! Nice one, Reggie.

I hope your breakfast is tasty! Cheers, Eric -

I don't believe I've ever noticed the extra row of stitching on the darker one. That's unusual.

This a quite a handsome duo of hats Eric. And The Bantam seems to have some similar cues to the Playboy.

A beautiful hat Mike, and one cool Cashmere overcoat. You deserve the two together.

Bone Lord's Hat to have my jaw bone checked out this morning. Dental Surgeon said the hole in my head was normal. In a couple of months they will put in the stud to anchor a new molar... Kind of sucks in general really. As a treat, I traveled to my haberdasher, Oscar Hult's new location in Albany. The Natty Dresser moved to a historic building downtown that is appointed most beautifully. A palate cleansing for sure. Cashmere overcoat to brace against the morning freezing temperatures.
