Have a good day,

Good morning folks. I started out for a dog soirée before the sun rose wearing a Borsolino Misto. The lack of quality light to showcase the hat does not stop me from posting as this fedora is a favorite.

Thanks for taking a look at my Misto in the new day's light. A flock of crows are in the top of some nearby trees making a huge noise this early morning. Shhhh, the neighborhood is sleeping.

Best wishes, Eric -
A Borsalino Misto hat: no serious hat collection can do without one. That's a prime example there, Eric.

Enjoying the cool (bordering on cold) evening outdoors in my Habig, with a little Scotch.

Very nice, Gary. The Habig especially.

Thanks, Stefan. They weren’t popular, but I like them shaggy.
You'd expect them to be more popular!:D

Playing catch-up because my phone's been squirrelly lately...

Lovely parade there, Jim. It would be unfair to pick a favourite.

Warm enough yet for straw. Out creek doggin’ with the “kids” and granddogs.

Apparently there are burl rustlers in these parts.

Other than the odd nicer day it's pretty much fall over here. Nice to be still wearing a straw, Bob.

Getting a little cool and windy this morning.

Cool pic, Yahoody. The horse was a tad late this time.

Early evening dog walking in my Tawny Fed IV.

Very nice, Steven. Sharp crease in that one.

Well, it is a great looking hat after all.

Gorgeous, Max.
Oooh, looks like a wonderful felt the way it creases.

Afternoon walkabout in the Gannon Playboy.

Champ Long Hair Black Heather
4 7/8 Crown as shaped
3/4 silver grosgrain mid ribbon
2 inch under welt brim

This medium/long hair black heather Champ came to me in a care package from our lounge friend Randy @Rmccamey It is an unusual but beautiful very soft and petable black felt with hints of white, blue, green, yellow and red heathered into the mix. Randy had Rick at Phoenix hats replace the ribbon with this silver mid ribbon. I think it was an excellent choice as it really makes it pop. Thank you to Randy for this Very cool hat.

Took my white hat up to the North Shore were there was a nice mellow swell with 3 ft. surf.

Ideal circumstances for a white hat, David.

Fantastic, fabio.

Fabulous brim curve there, Perry.

To "celebrate" the hats made in wool today I wear a French product of the Seventies, rigorously made in wool.
View attachment 265321
I have a series of French hats from the 20s / 30s up to the 60s in pure wool
View attachment 265322
This comes from one of the centers of French headwear: Chazelles sur Lyon. It was built by "Chapeaux Renommes - Bouteille" a subcontractor who at the end of the hat-box industry in France branded his own products.
View attachment 265323
The shape is called "Luc" but it is an "alpine shape" with a very raised rear brim and a very typical shape of hats made on the Alps from whatever side they are seen
View attachment 265324
The wool allows the hatter
to make a beautiful heathered felt that varies from white to black with a series of grays in between
View attachment 265325 It is a low level hat with average finishes arrived new until these days.
Thanks a lot for the appreciation on "Morreton Liclon"
Have anice Monday
Some very nice things were done in wool in the past, Daniele. A nice heather and a cool ribbon on that one.

Good morning. Out and about this morning in a vintage Stetson Whippet (light gray).

Cheers on a brisk morning. Best, Eric -
It doesn't get much more classic than that. Love it.

Admiring some of my collection today (although my photography skills are somewhat lacking). On the left, a Jos. Mauerer bowler with a 5 1/2 crown, and on the right, a 1930's Knox bowler with a 4 3/4 crown.

Looks like the bowlers are beginning to stack up slowly but surely, Randy.

I keep forgetting how much I love the Sandtone Fawn. When I got this hat it was the most Australian hat I had ever seen. From the style to the colour. Nowadays the style is more universal western then Australian but I still love the way it looks.

Suits you very well, Brent.

Looks good, Dave. How's the felt on that one? I've not been impressed (quite the opposite in fact) with Christy's modern hats, but this is an older one isn't it?

Sweet indeed. Nice!

Good to a black hat on display. They deserve more love here on the lounge. Looks great, Perry.

Yesterday afternoon, cap.
