The Ranch Boss out and about this morning.
Steve, Thanks again! Yes it's very similar to the KAMI so possibly from that time. I will have to check on the shop address location.I love that colour, Steve. As I mentioned in another thread it definitely has a 30's look to it. Reminds me a bit of my Kami.
Either Wegener was going for that pre-war look post WWII, or it is a pre WWII 30's Wegener, or possibly 40's during the war, hence the lack of a liner.
Wonderful hat whatever its vintage.
Lovely color SteveWegener "Em / 7" and a recent arrival. Seeing it here I think it might be older than I first thought.

Fantastic
Beautiful array of hats on your hatventures today Eric.Dang that is a nice pristine hat! That hat could ride in my vehicle any day/night. Thanks for sharing Jack.
I was out gathering tomatoes from the garden. The tomato bounty has been giving and appears it will be giving through early September. I have decided that our household is switching to tomato meals to truly appreciate the fresh tomato tastes. Good thing our basil is keeping pace with the tomatoes. On head gear topic; I was sport'n a linen cap during the initial tomato picking. Our windy, overcast mid 70'f (21'C) temps this mid-day are a perfect finish to a long pandemic summer.
I went back with another bowl for the smaller grape tomatoes and switched to a brimmed hat for protection against our mosquitoes. A vintage Mallory Dallas was my choice. Excellent felt on this hat. I speak about the maleability (moldable clay like ability) of felt and this one has a similar in hand feel like the Stetson 7X, 40's Stratoliner DeLuxe, and others. What a great hat for it's price during it's grand offering. This Mallory Dallas is a fun hat to wear. A side note to the hat is that I do make use of the wind cord when I wear the hat down by the lake. Wind gusts can pick-up the best fitting hat and unexpectedly toss it into the drink. I have had several vintage hats have the wind cords snap off in a gust. This hat's wind cord is durable, by my real life experiences.
I snapped the attached picsipping a beer and on the way to the garden.
On my way out to gather tomatoes I walked into the sprinkler that I had set earlier. This blunder found me changing hats. I put the Mallory on a hat block to dry and switched to a vintage Stetson Stratoliner. This is one of the bigger brimmed Strat's, 2.75" inches. The crown felt is close to the Mallory's, but the brim is stiffer.
For the curious, I did not blunder into the sprinkler on my next trip wearing my vintage Stratoliner.
Joe, Thank you!Lovely color Steve

Stetson The Sovereign - The Golden Century
Dark Chocolate Brown Vita-Felt
4 3/4 crown as shaped
1 7/8 Burgundy/Brown grosgrain ribbon
1 3/4 brim with Stetson Mode Edge (Cavanagh)
Another piece from the Jared delivery. The Golden Century by Stetson in a rich dark chocolate Vita-felt with a beautiful burgundy to brown grosgrain ribbon. The short brim is just a hair under 1 3/4 and is adorned with Stetson’s Mode Edge (Cavanagh) Jared was thinking The Golden Century May have been a Centennial model putting this one around 1965. Some of the manufacturing cues may support that. All around a sweet little hat. As we know I am with Mike @Redfokker when I say Support the Stingies! Thanks again to Jared... one more to come!
